Running Wild Guidelines

BE PROACTIVE!

1. Stay in Contact: If you’ve been waiting 15-20 minutes without receiving a new load, politely reach out to the dispatch office or the window at the hub where you are located.

2. Ask for Status: Inquire about your position on the wild board and when you might expect a load assignment.

3. Propose an Exchange: You can offer to take local or regional runs in exchange for a longer miles run afterward. Hubs often have runs that other teams may not want to take, and by showing flexibility, you might secure a better load later.

4. Leverage Experience: I have had personal success with this approach, where doing a local run led to securing longer, more lucrative runs.
